Leyble vows to do more for Antipolo

- Non Alquitran -

MANILA, Philippines - From a sleepy town of Rizal, Antipolo City has become one the fastest growing cities in the country due to its urbanization and various developmental projects.

As envisioned by the city council, Antipolo has become a pilgrimage capital in the eastern growth corridor, and Antipolo City Mayor Nilo Leyble vowed to do more to bring the city to new heights.

Leyble urged local officials and residents to rally behind his leadership to accomplish their goals for 2012.

“As we move on to the future, let it be said that your welfare is always paramount and that serving you is my highest calling,” Leyble said in his speech during his State of the City Address last April 30 at the Sumulong Park.

“My commitment to you can never be diminished through time; instead it shall remain sturdy as the tipolo tree.”

Gracing the event were Rizal Gov. Jun Ynares III, Rizal first district Rep. Robbie Puno and second district Rep. Romeo Acop, former Akbayan party-list representative Risa Hontiveros, Antipolo Vice Mayor Susan Say, and the city councilors.
