MANILA, Philippines - Two mild earthquakes rocked Masbate City yesterday morning but did not cause damage or injury, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremors with magnitudes 3.4 and 2.6 occured at 4:12 a.m. and 6:41 a.m., respectively.
Phivolcs said the first tremor was traced three kilometers northwest of Masbate City, where it was recorded at Intensity 3.
The second quake, which was recorded at Intensity 2, was traced 11 kms northeast of Masbate City.
