LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – Albay Gov. Joey Salceda has ordered the disaster risk reduction and management councils in the towns of Oas, Libon, Polangui and Ligao City to prepare for flashfloods due to continuous heavy rains spawned by a low pressure area east of Mindanao.
Salceda, who reactivated Task Force La Niña last December, said former landslide-hit areas in Barangay Gabon in Polangui town, Barangay Malabnig in Guinobatan, and Barangay Calaguimit in Oas have to be monitored.
