P180,000 shabu seized in Romblon
CALAPAN CITY, Philippines – Shabu worth P180,000 and drug paraphernalia were confiscated from five people who were arrested last week in Romblon, as the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) office in the Mimaropa region intensified its campaign against prohibited drugs in the island province.
In a report, the PDEA said two grams of shabu worth about P30,000 were seized last Feb. 3 from live-in partners Ryan Malayo, 29, and Caroline Minano, 23, both students of the Romblon State University.
The two were collared as they were getting the illegal drug from a private cargo-handling firm.
Two days earlier, PDEA agents arrested two other suspects aged 19 and 16 in possession of five plastic sachets of shabu worth about P150,000.
PDEA agents also served a warrant of arrest on Antonio Rada, 31, for an illegal drug case.
