ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – An Intensity 3 earthquake shook Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Thursday night, prompting authorities to alert coastal folk to flee to higher ground, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
Allan Labayog, Phivolcs monitoring officer, said the tremor occurred at around 8:47 p.m. Thursday and was also felt at Intensity 2 in Zamboanga City and Dipolog City and Intensity 1 in Sindagan, Manukan and Polangco towns in Zamboanga del Norte.
