PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan, Philippines – Thirteen women believed to be victims of human trafficking were rescued here before they could board a ship for Malaysia over the weekend.
A report from the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Western Mindanao Command on Friday said they also invited for questioning the suspected “guide” of the women.
The alleged victims reportedly came from Tarlac, Pampanga and Nueva Ecija provinces, and the cities of Pasig, Makati, Quezon, and Muntinlupa in Metro Manila.
