MANILA, Philippines - The state weather bureau yesterday warned fishermen and operators of small seacraft against venturing into the seas of Luzon and eastern Visayas due to strong winds and big waves.
In an advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said strong to gale force winds associated with the surge of the northeast monsoon will affect the seaboards of Luzon and the eastern seaboards of the Visayas.
PAGASA said these areas will experience rough to very rough seas with wave heights expected to reach 3.4 to 6.5 meters.
