Radioman's slay decried

-

MANILA, Philippines - Malacañang yesterday condemned the murder of 42-year-old former broadcaster Neil Aranga Jimena of Negros Occidental.

In a statement, presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda assured Jimena’s family that the full force of the law is being applied to immediately identify and apprehend the perpetrators of the crime.

Jimena was shot dead on Monday by unidentified assailants in E.B. Magalona town in northern Negros Occidental.

“We have tasked the PNP (Philippine National Police) to constantly update us on the progress of their investigation,” Lacierda said.

The Iloilo Press Club has offered a P500,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of Jimena’s killers. Jimena was a member of the club. – Delon Porcalla, Danny Dangcalan
