MALOLOS CITY, Philippines – It’s a non-working holiday in Bulacan today as the province celebrates its 433rd founding anniversary.
The annual celebration will be graced by Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile and Dr. Ma. Serena Diokno, president of the National Historical Commission.
Gov. Wilhelmino Alvarado said the declaration of a non-working holiday is based on the Provincial Administrative Code of Bulacan, which recognized Aug. 15, 1578 as the founding day of the province.
