SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines – In line with the effort to boost its capability against lawless elements, at least 10 motorcycles were donated by Gov. Lilia Pineda to the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPPO).
The turnover of the donation was held on Thursday at the PPPO wherein the governor attended the affair.
The motorcycles composed six units of 250cc Suzuki and four units of 220cc Kawasaki with corresponding helmets and cellular phones.
Pineda was assisted by Chief Superintendent Edgardo Ladao, Police Regional Office-3 director and Senior Superintendent Edgar Tinio, PPPO director during the blessing and turnover rites.
The Pampanga police also received different equipment for its Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team which include one sniper rifle, five tactical sniper rifles, 10 global positioning systems, 10 body armored vests and ammunition.
Earlier, the governor donated eight infra automatic utility vehicles (AUVs), 47 assorted motorcycles and 28 cellular phones which were distributed to different city/municipal police stations in the province.
The motorcycles and patrol vehicles were distributed to the 21 police stations in the province.
Tinio assured Gov. Pineda that the police will continue to carry out its duties and responsibilities vigorously in fighting criminality in the province.
