BIÑAN, Laguna, Philippines – Four siblings aged 10 to six months were killed in a fire that razed their home in Barangay Canlalay here Wednesday night, authorities said.
Superintendent Joel Permito, Biñan police chief, quoted reports as identifying the four fatalities as Angelo, 10; Alexander, eight; and Liria, three; and the six-month-old baby, all surnamed Acabado.
Firemen recovered the victims’ bodies in a room in their house along Hershey Drive at Saint Francis Subdivision.
Probers said the cause of the fire, which started at around 8 p.m. Wednesday, has yet to be undetermined.
Investigators said the other members of the Acabado household, including the children’s mother Anabelle, were not around when the fire struck.
They estimated the damage to property at P450,000.
