SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela, Philippines – At least 20 passengers of a bus bound for Banaue, Ifugao sustained injuries when the vehicle fell off a cliff early yesterday morning.
Reports said the KMS Lines bus was negotiating an upward stretch of the national highway in Barangay Hucab, Kiangan town at around 4:20 a.m. yesterday when it suddenly turned turtle and eventually fell into a 20-meter ravine.
The injured passengers were all rushed to the Ifugao provincial hospital in Lagawe town.
“All the passengers are now stable and 12 have already been discharged,” said Senior Superintendent Laurence Mombael, Ifugao police director.
