MANILA, Philippines - The Cavite prosecutor’s office yesterday called for the filing of murder charges against 11 security guards for the fatal shooting of three civilians who were catching spiders in a compound in Silang town last Thursday.
Provincial prosecutor Emmanuel Velasco said the Cavite police under Senior Superintendent Danilo Maligalig should thoroughly investigate the killing of Francisco Buergo, 36; Crispin Hubilla, 32; and Christian Salvador, 24.
A fourth victim, Jose Padaong, 32, is in critical condition at the Philippine General Hospital.
Velasco also asked Maligalig to recommend the cancellation or revocation of the license of the Dasmariñas Security Agency, which employed the 11 security guards. – Non Alquitran, Sandy Araneta
