MANILA, Philippines - The death toll from a cargo ship that sank off Dos Hermanas Island in Marinduque last Saturday has risen to four with three survivors and 10 others still missing, the Philippine Coast Guard said yesterday.
PCG spokesman Lt. Cmdr. Arman Balilo identified the fatalities as M/V SF Freighter chief engineer Meno Wenceslao, chiefmate Crispin Jalea, and able seamen Clayton Jay Benigla and Richard Tingcang.
Balilo said they are continuing their search and rescue operations for the 10 other missing crewmen.
