Police nab 3 in Lanao Sur ex-vice mayor's death

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested three men for the murder of a former vice mayor of a town in Lanao del Sur allegedly over rido or armed conflict due to family feud.

Probers identified the apprehended suspects as Abdul Azis Abdulla, Randy Cadatuan Dimolongon and Musanip Bondollan all residents of Barangay Cuyapon, Kabacan, Cotabato.

Reports reaching Camp Crame showed that Salim Rajamuda, 50, former vice mayor of Bayang, Lanao del Sur, was shot by three armed men in Ulangkaya Compound, Abellera st., Kabacan, Cotabato on Sunday.

Upon receiving reports, elements of Kabacan Municipal Police Station, Cotabato Provincial Police Office led by Chief Inspector Franklin Anito responded immediately to the crime scene and conducted an investigation.

Investigation disclosed that the suspects immediately fled to an unknown direction on board a Kawasaki HD III motorcycle, color black (JX 9039) after the victim was hit in the different parts of his body.

Police arrested the three while Scene of the Crime Operations said two empty shells and one slug for .45 caliber pistol were recovered from the crime scene. – Cecille Suerte Felipe, Mike Frialde, Dennis Carcamo
