Senior Superintendent Manolito Labador, Laguna police director, identified the three fatalities as Lyor Fulo, his wife Myra and their six-year-old daughter Kyle, residents of Monserrat Village, Barangay Sto. Angel, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

Police said the husband and wife died on the spot while Kyle died while undergoing treatment at the Laguna Provincial Hospital.

Injured in the accident were identified as Carliza Reben-que, 14; Fraulin Miguel, 22; Cecil Rebenque, 10; Ivan Fulo, three, and Juan Fulo. The five are currently undergoing treatment at the Paete General Hospital.

Investigations revealed that the victims were on their way to visit their departed relatives in a cemetery in Lumban town when they figured in an accident around 11:30 p.m.

Reports said the Fulos were cruising along the National Highway in Barangay Lewin in Lumban when the tricycle they were riding had a flat tire.

Labador said the victims have to push the tricycle to the nearest vulcanizing shop along the highway when a passenger jeepney (DXH-143), driven by Adrian Magana, rammed them from behind.
