Brgy councilor, son wanted in Tagaytay massacre

-

Camp Vicente Lim, Laguna , Philippines  – A barangay councilor and his son are now the subject of a police manhunt operation after allegedly killing four family members in Tagaytay City Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Senior Superintendent Alfred Corpuz, Cavite police director identified the suspects as Semproso Terrible, a councilor in Barangay Calabuso in Tagaytay City and his son Philip.

According to report, the suspects escaped after reportedly shooting and stabbing to death their neighbors identified as Domingo Fajardo, 64; Magno Fajardo, 71; Lamberto Fajardo, 62; and Alberto Parducho, 44, at around 4:45 p.m.

Corpuz said the Terribles first barged-in inside Parducho’s house and was repeatedly shot by the suspects that resulted to his instantaneous death.

Subsequently, the suspects proceeded to the house of the Fajardos, around 100 meters away from Parducho’s house and successively shot the victims with a .45 caliber pistol.

Police recovered eight spent shells of the said firearm from the crime scene while the get-away vehicle was recovered later in Calamba City in Laguna.

Probers said an old grudge between the two families could be the motive of the killings.

Police Superintendent Romano Cardino, Criminal Investigation and Detection 4A deputy regional director, said he formed a special team from CIDG-Cavite to arrest the suspects.

The suspects immediately fled on board a motorcycle towards the national highway.

“We will not stop hunting them down until we arrest the killers. We are not conducting a parallel investigation, but, the motives are still undetermined,” Cardino said. – Arnell Ozaeta, Ed Amoroso
