DOJ okays raps vs 'JI member'

-

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has recommended the filing of criminal charges against a Bangladeshi national suspected to be member of the terrorist group Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) who was caught carrying several explosives and other bomb-making devices in Maguindanao last year.

The DOJ said it found probable cause to indict suspect Mohammad Rafiq Ullah for illegal possession of explosives.

In an eight-page resolution issued by State Prosecutor II Juan Pedro Navera, the DOJ said the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group presented ample evidence to pin down Ullah. – Edu Punay
