Slays of 3 P’sinan dads ‘alarming’

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The killings of three municipal councilors in the province have alarmed the Pangasinan Councilors’ League, which called on the police to act on the matter.

Provincial board member Raul Sison, head of the Philippine Councilors’ League’s Pangasinan chapter, filed a resolution Monday to request Senior Superintendent Isagani Nerez, provincial police director, for an immediate investigation.

“This series of killings has become very alarming,” Sison said.

Slain were councilors Juan Ablao of Alcala town, Albert Sibayan of San Quintin town, and Igmedio Lariosa of Binalonan town.

Sibayan and Lariosa were killed in a span of 12 days this month.       – Eva Visperas
