Ampatuan files COC

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Incumbent Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Gov. Zaldy Ampatuan formally filed his certificate of candidacy at the Commission on Elections office yesterday.

Ampatuan’s COC was filed by regional administrator and Lakas-CMD regional secretary Norie Unas before Comelec-ARMM director Ray Sumalipao.

Unas was accompanied by the party’s candidates for the 24 seats of the ARMM Assembly from the region’s six provinces and two cities.

President Arroyo is expected to proclaim the reelectionist Ampatuan as her administration’s official gubernatorial bet next month. – Roel Pareño, John Unson
