Landslides strand 4 Davao City teachers

DAVAO CITY – Four primary school teachers were reportedly stranded when landslides triggered by days of incessant rains struck portions of a logging road in a remote village here.

There were reportedly 10 landslide spots in Sitio Baliti in Barangay Marilog, Paquibato district and another 20 in adjoining Sitio Upian, all leading to Sitio Sumilop where the four teachers were stranded.

The four teachers reportedly sought help Wednesday after they learned that landslides had cut off the road.

They would usually trek to Sitio Sumilop on Sundays and return to the city proper Friday afternoons.     – Edith Regalado
