MANILA (AP) - Foreign ministers of the countries involved in talks on North Korea's nuclear program reaffirmed their commitment to resolve the dispute in a meeting with President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, an official said Wednesday.
The participants assured Arroyo of "their determination to see a successful end to the talks," Philippine Foreign Secretary Alberto Romulo said of the meeting late Tuesday at the presidential palace. The U.S. and South Korea were represented by deputy officials.
Arroyo expressed confidence that the countries can peacefully resolve the nuclear dispute and called for further diplomatic efforts, Romulo said.
