Dr. Eric Tayag, chief of the National Epidemiology Center, said 10 dengue cases were reported in Cabuyao last month, five of them in the Southville resettlement.
There have been 261 dengue-related deaths since January. So far, the number of cases reported 25,747 is 16 percent lower than the 2005 figure.
In another development in Laguna, a resident of Los Baños and his two children aged 3 and 7 died while his wife and two other children aged 6 to 14 were hospitalized after they ate tahong (mussel) for lunch on Monday. Helen Flores, Ed Amoroso and Arnell Ozaeta
