Superintendent Reuben Sindac, investigation and intelligence chief of the Quezon police, said the arrested suspect, Efren Anido, 53, alias Pusa, is the right-hand man of Jaime Moog, who heads the kidnap-for-ransom syndicate operating in Southern Tagalog.
Sindac said Anido was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court for kidnapping cases, for which he cannot post bail.
Anido was listed as one of the most wanted persons of the National Anti-Kidnapping Task Force (NAKTAF). He had a P500,000 bounty for his arrest. Arnell Ozaeta
