8 stolen motorycles recovered in Bulacan

BALIUAG, Bulacan – Police arrested three suspected members of a motorcycle syndicate victimizing Indian nationals here yesterday, and recovered eight units believed to have been already sold to buyers.

Senior Superintendent Benedict Michael Fokno, Bulacan police chief, presented suspects Rogelio Reyes, of Barangay Balatong B in Pulilan town, and Nenita Polintan and Joplan Relis, both of Barangay Sabang in this town. The three were believed to be members of the Hare Krishna Gang whose modus operandi is to grab motorcycles at gunpoint from Indian traders.

Recovered from the suspects were a blue Suzuki Shogun, a red Suzuki 100, a yellow Honda Wave, a blue Honda SR, a blue Suzuki Shogun, a blue Honda Wave and a blue Honda Dream.

Two other suspects — a certain Rogelio Reyes of Pulilan town and a certain Councilman Dick of San Rafael town — remain at large and are now being hunted by police operatives.

Their victims, mostly Indian businessmen engaged in money lending, positively identified the suspects when they were invited at the police station for verification.

The suspects are now detained at the local jail here awaiting formal charges. — James Mananghaya
