31 wedding guests poisoned

CITY OF MALOLOS Attending a social gathering nowadays could be a health risk.
About 31 guests at a wedding party in Barangay Kapihan in San Rafael town in Bulacan were hospitalized on Saturday in what appears to be a mild case of food poisoning.
Superintendent Jesus Reyes, San Rafael Police chief, confirmed to newsmen in a telephone interview that the wedding guests were rushed to the Baliuag District Hospital and nearby medical dispensaries after complaining of dizziness and stomach pain. Others vomited after partaking of food at the wedding party.
Reyes said they could have eaten spoiled food as food served at wedding parties in rural villages are generally prepared a day before the wedding.
Luckily for the guests, doctors said they are now all on their way to recovery, the police chief said. James Mananghaya and Ric Sapnu
