The President will fly in aboard a chopper from Cagayan de Oro City and will immediately proceed to the St. Michael’s Cathedral, according to the Philippine Information Office.
She will reportedly visit the National Steel Corp. (NSC) complex in Barangay Suarez to receive a P1-billion check representing the "upfront money" of the Global International Holdings Ltd.
Global and the NSC’s bank creditors are reportedly signing on Oct. 10 an asset purchase agreement for its acquisition of the NSC. — Lino de la Cruz
