Cotabato City pols want more soldiers

COTABATO CITY Prodded by local Muslim and Christian leaders, the opposition-dominated city council is urging the military to deploy more soldiers here to stem the rise in crimes in commercial districts and densely populated barangays.
The city council, in a resolution sponsored by councilor Orlando Badoy, appealed to the Armys 6th Infantry Division to immediately assign a contingent here to assist the local police in curbing criminality.
