Fire hits steel factory in Batangas

BALAYAN, Batangas — Fire hit the largest steel factory here early yesterday morning, destroying only the electrical room, police said.

SFO1 Jose Marquez said the fire broke out at the electrical room of the Steel Corporation of the Philippines’ factory in Barangay Muntingtubig at about 3:30 a.m. and was contained after two hours. No one was injured.
