NPA leader slain

TAGBILARAN CITY The spokesman of the New Peoples Army (NPA) in Central Visayas was killed in a running gunbattle with government troops in Catigbian, Bohol last Friday.
In a statement, the NPA confirmed that Silvino Clamucha, alias Ka Bino, was one of the two rebels slain in the clash in Barangay Bagsik. The other rebel fatality was identified only as Ka Kardo.
Clamucha was in the news recently when he admitted that the NPA was behind the failed ambush of Gov. Erico Aumentado last Feb. 13. Peter Dejaresco
