Cop hunted down for Cotabato teener’s slay

-
COTABATO CITY — Police are hunting down a Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) officer who allegedly gunned down a teenager during a verbal tussle at a videoke pub here a week ago.

Senior Inspector Abdulwahid Pedtucasan, chief of the city’s police precinct 1, said witnesses have positively identified Inspector Eduardo Buluhan as the one who repeatedly shot 17-year-old Errol Saavedra inside a roadside beer joint here.

Police have filed murder charges against Buluhan and have mobilized intelligence agents to arrest him, Pedtucasan said.

Sources at the regional CIDG office here said Buluhan has not reported for work since the fatal shooting of Saavedra.

Cotabato City Mayor Muslimin Sema, chairman of the city peace and order council, said his emissaries are working for the surrender of Buluhan. — John Unson
