CABANATUAN CITY A cousin of the late Cabanatuan Mayor Honorato Perez Sr., who was killed while campaigning for the governorship nine years ago, was gunned down by motorcycle-riding men here last weekend.
The victim, Claudio Perez, 48, died from three bullet wounds.
Superintendent Antonio Tanchoco, city police chief, said Perez was whiling away his time near the gate of his apartment in Barangay Magsaysay Norte at about 8:20 a.m. Sunday when one of two men aboard an unmarked red Suzuki X-120 motorcycle approached him.
The man drew a 9-mm. pistol and fired at Perez thrice. The triggerman then casually walked back to the motorcycle and he and his companion sped away. Manny Galvez
