Former presidential adviser Jamby Madrigal formally filed her certificate of candidacy for senator yesterday, joining action king Fernando Poe Jr. and Sen. Loren Legarda in the Koalisyon ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KNP).
Madrigal expressed confidence that the political opposition will unite before the May elections and the people will realize that the KNP team can best represent them in government.
Madrigal, granddaughter of the late Supreme Court Justice Jose Abad Santos, is the spokesman of the Kontra-Pulitika Movement (KPM), a youth-based organization calling for an end to too much politicking in government.
The former presidential adviser for childrens affairs is one of two women in the KNP senatorial slate; the other is former youth commission chairman Amina Rasul.
