Still at large are Jeofrey Cervano, Jorge Bating and Lito Austria, who are facing charges of murder, robbery and physical injuries, respectively. They escaped from the municipal jail of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
Inmates Rodil Atienza and Bienvenido Tagasa, detained for murder and rape, respectively, were re-arrested after bolting the Calapan municipal jail in Oriental Mindoro.
Tagasa, however, was later found lifeless inside his cell. Police are looking into his death. — Ed Amoroso
