Ma, baby killed, 27 hurt in Laguna road mishap

STA. ROSA, Laguna — A young woman and her five-month-old son were killed while 27 others were injured when a passenger bus they were riding on hit a perimeter fence before crashing into an acacia tree along the South Luzon Expressway in Barangay Malitlit, Sta. Rosa, Laguna yesterday.

The fatalities were identified as Menchie Rosima, 29, of Tawid Sapa II, Kaligay, Novaliches, Quezon City and her five-month-old son Roxiel.

Menchie’s husband, Ronnie Rosima, 34, who was also on board the bus, survived with minor bruises.

Investigation conducted by Ezer Nicolas, crew member of the Philippine National Construction Corp.
