OWWA Administrator Eli Gardiner disclosed yesterday that the Taiwanese government has already approved the refund applications of the OFWs employed by the Hitachi Zosen firm, and remitted the funds to OWWA.
Gardiner called on the OFWs to immediately report to OWWA center in Pasay City, with proper identifications, to claim their checks.
He said OWWA is also coordinating with the MIP International Manpower Service, the recruitment agency of the OFWs, for the workers requirements like bank account number, bank account name, name and address of the bank, among others.
