Chevron renews commitment to Filipinos with new Caltex with Techron

Chevron Philippines, Inc. (formerly Caltex Philippines, Inc.) recently launched its newest gasoline offering, Caltex with the exclusive Techron additive. The said additive will available for both Gold and Silver gasoline at all Caltex stations nationwide starting March.

Techron, a result of almost 30 years of research and development by Chevron, is a patented fuel additive designed to clean the car’s engine and fuel system, particularly the injectors and intake valves. This, in turn will bring back lost power and improve fuel efficiency, as well as reduce emissions and ensure smoother performance.

"Caltex gasoline mixed with the Techron cleaning ingredient is unbeatable at protecting car engines from the effects of performance-robbing deposits, helping ensure it delivers optimum power, economy, pick-up and a smoother ride," Chevron’s Product Engineering, Regulations and Technology (PERT) said in a statement.

A full tank of Caltex with Techron is enough to clean your car’s fuel system. Constantly topping up with Techron will minimize harmful combustion chamber deposits, which lead to knocking, power loss, and higher emissions.

In partnership with the San Diego Taxi Cab, Chevron was able to harvest data from 130 million kilometers of real-world testing. In addition, Techron is the recommended fuel by the world’s top automobile manufacturers such as BMW, Toyota, Honda and General Motors. It is also safe for carburetor fed engines.

Aside from locally introducing the renowned Techron additive in their gasoline lineup, Chevron is investing into the country an additional P375 million that will enable them to replace their old storage tanks with double-walled fiberglass ones, the highest industry standard in fuel storage. The use of such will ensure that the fuel is clean and free from any impurities. Furthermore, Chevron will upgrade the electrical equipment in all Caltex stations so that they consume less electricity than the usual. This is Chevron’s commitment to be of further service to the Filipino, which they have happily served for the past seventy years.
