President Marcos declares holidays in 5 areas
MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has declared special non-working days in five localities for the celebration of their founding anniversaries.
Proclamation 1415 declared Sept. 10 a special non-working day in Quirino for the celebration of the province’s 55th founding anniversary.
Marcos declared a special non-working day in Bontoc, Mountain Province on Sept. 16 and in Zamboanga del Sur on Sept. 17 under Proclamations 1416 and 1417, respectively, to allow the localities to celebrate their founding anniversaries.
In Proclamation 1418, the President declared Sept. 18 a special non-working day in Bansalan, Davao del Sur for the commemoration of its 74th founding anniversary.
He also issued Proclamation 1419 declaring Sept. 18 a special non-working day in Victoria, Oriental Mindoro to mark the town’s 73rd founding anniversary.
Executive Secretary Ralph Recto signed the proclamations on Sept. 3 by the authority of the President.
“It is fitting and proper for the people of those jurisdictions to be given the opportunity to participate in the occasion to enjoy the celebration,” Recto said.
