Quezon City-HAT binuo vs init ng panahon

MANILA, Philippines — Bumuo ang Quezon City LGU ng QC Heat Action Team (QC-HAT) na hahanap ng mga solosyon para mabawasan ang matinding impact ng init na nararam­daman ng mga QCitizens.

Nabatid na dumanas ang QC ng average na 42 hanggang 44 degrees Celsius na heat index nitong nagdaang taong 2024 at 2025 gayundin nitong summer season sa bansa.

Ayon kay QC Mayor Joy Belmonte, dahil sa sob­rang init maraming mamamayan ang nagkakasakit at tumindi ang pagtaas ng singil sa kuryente .

“The city government recognizes extreme heat as a critical public health and safety emergency. It unfairly affects the most marginalized sector, specifically those belonging in the informal sector and outdoor workers who lack cool, safe, and decent housing, and immediate health services” ani Belmonte.

Ang QC-HAT ay responsible sa pag-develop at magpapatupad ng isang comprehensive strategy para maibsan ang matinding epekto sa mamamayan nang matinding init ng panahon, poprotektahan ang vulnerable populations at palalawakin ang city’s resilience sa climate change dulot ng mainit at tag tuyot na panahon.
