MANILA, Philippines — Inutos na ng Manila Regional Trial Court ang paglilipat kay dating Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr. sa Manila City Jail kaugnay ng mga kasong kinakaharap nito.

Subalit ayon naman kay National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Judge Jaime Santiago, nananatili pa rin sa  kanilang detention facility sa New Bilibid Prison compound, sa Muntinlupa City si Teves kahit may commitment order na ikulong sa MCJ.

Paliwanag ni Santiago, isa pa lamang ang natanggap nilang commitment order na galing sa Manila court kaya iniutos niya na huwag munang ipalipat dahil maraming korte ang mag-iisyu ng commitment order dahil sa rami ng kaso ni Teves.

“Baka mamaya ‘yung isang court na ‘yun na natanggap namin sa BJMP Manila, ‘yung isa naman sa Bicutan, ‘yung isa naman— so sabi ko sa aming warden, i-hold ninyo muna ‘yan,” ani Santiago.

Ayon sa NBI, may kinakaharap si Teves na 10 counts ng murder, 13 counts ng frustrated murder, 4 counts ng attempted murder sa  Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 51, isang murder case sa Manila RTC Branch 12, isang murder case sa Manila RTC Branch 15, isang murder case sa Bayawan RTC Branch 63, Illegal possession of firearms and illegal possession of explosives sa Manila RTC Branch 12, at Terrorist Financing, prevention, and suppression act sa Quezon City RTC Branch 77

“Antayin natin ang final decision ng Manila courts. Courts ha? Marami eh. Para finally ma-determine namin saan namin finally i-turn over si Congressman Teves,” ani Santiago.
