Taguinota bemedalled athlete ng Batang Pinoy

PUERTO PRINCESA, Philippines — Hinirang si swimmer Arvin Naeem Taguinota II bilang most bemedalled athlete  ng 16th Batang Pinoy National Cham­pionships kahapon dito sa Ramon V. Mitra Jr. Sports Complex.

Sinisid ng Pasig City tanker ang kanyang ika­anim na gold medal sa boys’ 12-13-year-old 4x50-meter medley relay kasama sina Charles Ezekiel Canlas, Jefferson Saburlase at Marcelino Picardal III sa bilis na 2:03.69.

Ang iba pang events na pinagwagian ng Grade 8 student ng British International School sa Phuket, Thailand ay ang 4x50 LC meter freestyle team relay (1:47.44 1), 200m backstroke (2:19.88), 200m individual medley (2:22.02), 100m freestyle (57.92) at 100m backstroke (1:04.30).

Muli namang nagtala ng bagong Batang Pinoy record si Albert Jose Amaro II ng Naga City sa kanyang itinalang 1:57.04 sa boys’ 16-17 200m freestyle.

Binura niya ang 1:59.94 ni Paolo Miguel Labanon ng Davao City noong 2023 edition.

Lumangoy din ng bagong BP mark sina Arabella Nadeen Taguinota ng Pasig City sa girls’ 16-17 50m breaststroke (34.67) at Jaime Ulandorr Maniago ng Quezon City sa boys’ 16-17 50m breaststroke (30.50).

Samantala, inangkin ng Pasig City ang overall championship matapos humakot ng 83 gold, 49 silver at 88 bronze medals.
