MANILA, Philippines — Nagbabala muli kahapon ang  Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa publiko laban sa paggamit ng imported na cannabidiol (CBD) oil na ginagamit na pain reliever o pampahid sa pananakit ng kalamnan.

Ayon kay  PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino, nakababahala ang pagtaas ng kaso ng trafficking ng CBD oil sa mail at parcel services kung saan maging sa online shopping ay ibinebenta ito sa bansa.

Sinabi ng opisyal na ang CBD oil ay may aktibong sangkap ng marijuana na sunod sa Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) kung saan ang biktimang guma­gamit nito ay nagkakadiprensya sa utak at mayroon ding kakaibang epekto sa katawan at kalusugan.

Nakasamsam na ang PDEA ng kabuuang 792 milli­liters at 621 grams ng CBD na may THC na nakalagay sa mga bote, droppers, capsules, vape juice cartridges at gummy candies.

 “THC is a dangerous drug included in the 1971 United Nations Single Convention on Psychotropic Substances”, anang opisyal.

 Gayunman hindi tulad ng THC ang CBD ay non-psychoactive at sa kasalukuyan ay patuloy pa itong pinag-aaralan ng World Health Organization.

 “CBD is not addictive, but contains very small amounts of THC which remains illegal under the law. In general, the law dictates that any variety and derivative from marijuana, including CBD, is prohibited,” anang opisyal.
