MANILA, Philippines - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested seven Nigerians for alleged fraud and computer hacking in General Trias, Cavite Monday night.
The foreigners were allegedly involved in an online dating scam, according to the NBI cybercrime division.
Some of the victims said the suspects courted them through social media and e-mail.
Seized from the suspects were several laptops they used in their illegal activity. They also yielded fake $100 bills, the NBI said.
The Nigerians denied the accusations against them.
