7 kilos of marijuana seized in Makati

MANILA, Philippines - Local police officers and members of the Makati Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) arrested a suspected drug trafficker and seized seven kilos of marijuana leaves and stalks during a sting in Barangay Bangkal at past midnight yesterday.

Cedrick Sevilla was arrested along Apolinario street shortly after handing over the plastic bags containing the marijuana, which has an estimated street value of P300,000, to an undercover police officer, according to a MADAC report. 

According to the Makati police, Sevilla admitted under questioning that he was selling the marijuana to students.
