MANILA, Philippines - The Southern Police District (SPD) has ruled out foul play in the death of a telecommunications firm executive who fell from the ninth floor of a hotel in Pasay City last week.
Evidence gathered by police investigators, including examination of the cell phone and laptop of Lindt Dale Azcueta, 30, showed that he committed suicide, SPD director Chief Superintendent Jose Erwin Villacorte said.
Villacorte said the case will be considered closed.
Although no suicide note was found, police said Azcueta’s message in his Twitter account @dalekins indicated that he planned to take his own life.
Police said the victim’s last tweets were: “Dalekins is going off line. Life is indeed a roller coaster ride. Enjoy it. Thank you to everyone for making my ride awesome.”
He posted the message minutes before he fell from the ninth floor of a Pasay hotel last Saturday.
