MANILA, Philippines - A man treated himself to a pedicure before robbing the cashier and a fellow client of a health club in San Juan City Monday.
Senior Superintendent Joselito Daniel, San Juan police chief, ordered a manhunt for the “customer†who escaped on a Yamaha Mio motorcycle with license plate 5002 QX.
The victims and witnesses described the robber as standing between 5’6†to 5’8’ in height, thin, wearing a red cap and armed with a handgun.
According to Daniel, the robber entered SPA 101 on Wilson street at about 4:50 p.m. Monday and asked for a pedicure.
After the attendant finished with him, the man stood up and approached the cashier. However, instead of paying the bill, the man pulled out a handgun.
Daniel said the robber took the Sony Xperia cell phone of his fellow client, Angelica Alejo, 19, and the iPhone 5S of cashier Anne Medenilla, 29.
The robber also grabbed the keys of Medenilla’s car, which was parked outside the establishment, and grabbed her bag containing her credit cards, ATM cards, driver’s license and identification cards.
The victims claimed they could identify the robber if seen again.
Daniel said they are coordinating with the Land Transportation Office to trace the owner of the motorcycle.
