MANILA, Philippines - A 69-year-old man was reportedly attacked by his neighbor after he participated in a drinking spree that turned violent in Caloocan City Sunday night.
Leonardo Rivero remains confined at the Jose Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center while his neighbor, Rizaldy Ong, 42, was arrested in a follow-up operation.
According to reports, Rivera and his relatives were drinking with Ong’s kin and were poking fun at each other. The jokes led to a brawl.
Rivera suffered contusions and was waiting for a jeepney to take him to the hospital when Ong allegedly stabbed him.
