MANILA, Philippines - Security personnel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 (NAIA-1) scrambled to check a Delta Air flight after receiving yesterday a bomb threat that turned out to be a hoax.
A conveyor staff received two calls at around 3 a.m. yesterday from a man who reportedly said Delta Air’s Flight DL 172 will explode at 5 a.m., sources said.
Airport employees notified NAIA-1 and airline officials, who had aviation police officers and bomb-sniffing dogs inspect all bags in the plane. No bomb was found.
The flight left Manila for Narita, Japan en route to the US on schedule.
