MANILA, Philippines - A barangay tanod was shot dead by two men on a motorcycle in Quezon City before dawn yesterday.
Watchman Joseph Dacara was talking with a friend in Barangay Payatas B at past 5 a.m. when he was repeatedly shot by the two men, according to Senior Police Officer 1 Randy Bantillo.
Dacara may have been killed because he reportedly collected money from vendors in the barangay, Bantillo said.
