Suspected pusher, courier arrested
MANILA, Philippines - A suspected drug pusher and his alleged courier were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay Old Balara, Quezon City over the weekend.
PDEA chief Arturo Cacdac Jr. said agents under National Capital Region director Wilkins Villanueva, armed with search warrants, raided three houses along Lakas street simultaneously at around 4 p.m.
Armando Iglesia, alias “Bukol,” 46, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested. Cacdac said PDEA agents recovered sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and two .38 caliber revolvers during the raid.
Cacdac said Iglesia and the boy are “target-listed drug personalities” because of the group, named after them, they allegedly ran. He said Iglesia is the trader, while the boy serves as the courier of the drug group.
